Kyle “Slick” Johnson produced North Highlands album is out today!

Hector Castillo producing Phillip Glass remix album with Beck!
Excited to finally post about this one! Hector Castillo has been working on producing a Phillip Glass remix album with Beck. Other collaborators include Amon Tobin, Cornelius and Ty Braxton, among others. Hector Castillo joins the Converse Rubber Tracks Studio gang!
I’m happy to announce that Hector Castillo has joined our Matt Shane in regular rotation at the Converse Rubber Tracks studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn! It’s a great studio that gives new bands the opportunity to record for free and we are happy to now have two of our producers involved. Chris Coady mixed Mates of State LP a “return to form” according to Pitchfork
Chris Coady spent a good chunk of last December mixing “Mountaintops” at Sountracks here in NYC. Pitchfork gave it a solid 7.1 today, calling it a “return to form”. Check out the full review here.

Pitchfork likes the self-titled Cult of Youth LP produced by Chris Coady
It took P4k a while to review this one. Generally that’s not a good sign, but “Cult of Youth” ended up getting a solid review. Chris recorded this way back in June and July of 2010 at the Magic Shop here in NYC. Check out the review here.
