Interesting half-page story in the latest issue of SPIN discussing indie bands stepping up and recording with professional producers. The story mentions Beach House working with our Chris Coady, but the focus of the story is The Pains of Being Pure at Heart working with Flood, Alan Moulder and (strangely unmentioned) James Brown. They manage to misidentify James as Flood in the photo caption and misspell the name of the Pains bass player – it’s Alex “Naidus”, not “Naigus”.
