Chris Coady produced the leadoff track of the upcoming Zola Jesus”Valusia” EP called “Poor Animal” a few weeks ago. I’ve heard it and it is pretty awesome – a bit more pop than anything I’ve heard by Zola Jesus before, but it’s not a pop song. Does that make sense? Back in May our own Chris Coady recorded and mixed a 6 song session with Beach House for iTunes. Five of the songs were old tunes, but one of them, “White Moon”, is brand new and is streaming over at Pitchfork right now. Take a listen.
Chris Coady has spend the past few weeks recording a Smith Westerns album for Fat Possum and we hear it’s going great. If you are in NYC come to Bowery Ballroom next Tuesday to see them open for Wavves.
