Excited to finally post about this one!  Hector Castillo has been working on producing a Phillip Glass remix album with Beck.  Other collaborators include Amon Tobin, Cornelius and Ty Braxton, among others.  I’ll post more details as we get them, but until then, check out Hector, Beck and Phillip having a coffee at Phillip’s place:

Hector Castillo joins the Converse Rubber Tracks Studio gang!

I’m happy to announce that Hector Castillo has joined our Matt Shane in regular rotation at the Converse Rubber Tracks studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn!  It’s a great studio that gives new bands the opportunity to record for free and we are happy to now have two of our producers involved.  Here is a photo of Hector I stole from the Rubber Tracks Instagram account:

2k10 was Awesome! (a list of every band we worked with in 2010)

I realize it’s only November 30th, but if Black Friday can now start the Monday before Thanksgiving, then I can do our year end list on the last day of November.  This year has been pretty amazing and all of our guys have worked on outstanding records.  Time to stand back and admire what our guys have accomplished.

Hector Castillo produced Gustavo Cerati album wins 3 Latin Grammys!

Congratulations to Hector and Gustavo!  From Billboard: “The other multiple winner of the evening was Gustavo Cerati, whose “Fuerza Natural” won best rock album, while his song “Déjà vu” won best rock song. In turn, art director Roy García won best recording package for Cerati’s album”

Gustavo has been in a coma since May – here’s to hoping for a full recovery.
